Suicide attack in Afghanistan kills dozen

BBC news have reported a suicide bomber has killed at least 27 people at a Shia Muslim mosque in the Afghan capital Kabul. There were at least 35 other people where injured in the attack which came as worshippers gathered for a religious ceremony. The attacker blew himself up in the crowded area towards the end of a service for Imam Hussein. IS has said to be behind the attack that took place on Monday. Many people were praying right before the explosion took place and witnesses said that there was a loud bang followed by a dust cloud.
This is an important news story because BBC news has also reported that the attack that took place on Monday is part of a string of attacks including a mass shooting killing 14 people and another suicide bombing which killed 80 people.
