Ipswich killer Steve Wright's father urges him to confess

The Father of killer, Steve Wright, wants his son to admit the killing of five sex workers. Steve is serving life in jail for the murders but has yet to admit to killing the five girls 10 years ago. The five girls went missing over a period of six weeks, the first being Tania Nicol (19) disappearing on the 30th of October 2006. Steve Wright has admitted to sleeping with four of the five girls but has not admitted to their murder. Conrad Wright (Father) said that admitting the murders is the 'only thing' he could do, but Conrad will not forgive him for his actions. Conrad also explains how Steve would act clueless as if he didn't know what was going on and that he only wants the truth form his son.
I think this story is important because this was a major story and now that it has been 10 years since the murders it is sill important as although murderer was caught there has still been no justification to his actions and why he did it. Also the BBC news report shows how because of Steve's actions it has not only just ruined his victims (families) life but his fathers.

Three people arrested after 16 year old girl dies in hospital.

Three people were charged with drug offences after, Shellie Callaghan, 16 years old, died from possibly taking ecstasy tablets. She dies in hospital on Saturday after falling ill at a party. A 42 year old, a 17 year old and a 16 year old were arrested when properties were searched following the deaths. The police are investigating the 16 year old's death and how she was able to get hold of the drugs. A large quantity of drugs were seized after the searches and the police urge people to not take the drugs similar to the ones seized.

This news story is important because it shows how easy it is for people to get hold of dangerous drugs and how dangerous the drugs can be to a persons life. Stories like this show that drugs can actually cause serious harm and death which allot of people underestimate. I think that laws related to drugs should be allot more harsh as it would deter people form using or selling them.

Hurricane Matthew in Haiti.

BBC news reported on the deaths and damages of the hurricane in Haiti. At least 900 people died and at least 350,000 people need aid along with tens and thousands of homes being destroyed. The hurricane caused major flooding, power cuts and destroyed buildings. The strong winds reached up to 145 mph which caused buildings to collapse. Haiti has gone into 3 days of national mourning and has requested aid for the people who have been left with nothing. Because of the strong hurricane (category 4) sewers and pipes where damaged and the main worry now is Cholera. At least 13 people have died form the disease since the hurricane. The hurricane moved up to the southern coast of the US which reportedly killed 10 people.

This is an important news story because not only has Haiti have to worry about the damages and the deaths caused by the hurricane, but they have to worry about the after effects including Cholera which killed 10,000 after the 2010 earthquake. Also allot of crops were damaged meaning that Haiti is left with not allot of food to last them and they are without water, which is another major concern.

Trump may have avoided tax for 18 years.

An american newspaper says it has documents showing Donald Trump declaring a loss of more the $900 in 1995 on his federal tax return. The newspaper said that Trump's loss was so large that it could have allowed him to avoid paying tax for 18 years legally. Trumps campaign refuse to publish any records and he has neither confirmed or denied theses reports. During the presidential debate Hillary accused him of not paying income tax to which Trump replied "That makes me smart'. This could imply his true intentions.
I think this is an important news story because he is running to be the next president of. If Trump cant follow the rules or is honest to people about the situation then how can he be expected to run the country properly. There is so much controversy with Trump to begin with because of his ideas extreme ideas, so adding this on to his reputation makes him even ore controversial.
