In this advert it uses celebrity endorsement as their main way to sell their Adidas products. Throughout the advert there isn't any bold Adidas logo's, only little glimpses on the football kit. This shows that the brand itself is so well known that it doesn't have to constantly be showing the logo within the advert. This is used in other forms of media such as magazine and film trailer/posters. By listing/showing the celebrities within the advertisement it automatically draws in more potential customers as people think that it must be good if a well known celebrity is backing the product. Within this Adidas trailer it shows several celebrity football players including some like Messi and Bale. This is used to show that the brand is high quality as they can afford to get famous footballers on to adverts and to be the face of the product.
Another way in which the Adidas sell their products and entice potential customers is by using direct address. This is shown in other media, in particular magazines, as it makes the audience feel as the the celebrity is talking to them directly and makes them feel as if the product was made for them. This is shown in he Adidas advert at 0:58 where the football players look straight down the camera into the audiences eyes. This engages the audience as they feel as if they are on the football pitch with the footballers.
To grab the audiences attention throughout the advert they enhance the sounds. One example being that every time the ball comes into contact with someone or is kicked you can here the impact noise loudly. This is another way in which Adidas engage with the audience as by increasing the sound makes the audience feel as if they are in the game or training with the famous football stars. By increasing the sound the audience hears every contact and every movement involving the audience within the advert. This is used in media, particularly film trailers, as increasing the sounds draws in the audience. In a horror trailer, by hearing the characters breathing heavy makes you feel as if you are in the film with them making it all that more scary. This is the same effect with the Adidas advert as the audience feels more connection with the brand
