A 17-year-old girl thought to have taken ecstasy on a night out has died after suffering an adverse reaction to the drug, police have said.
BBC news reported that a 17 year old girl was taken to hospital after in Trafford taking the drug known as 'Mastercard'. She later died from taking the drug. The police have said that this is a tragic death and that they know that she is not the only one to have taken the drug. The police want people to seek medical attention if they have used this drug. The police are investigating the incident and are trying to find out how the young girl gained possession of the drugs.
The issue with this is that young people are able to get hold of drugs easily and that they don't even know what they are taking and the side effects of them. In my opinion i think the drug laws need to be stricter and the punishments more severe in order to deter people from selling and using drugs.
